“It’s SHITE being from Tatooine! We’re the lowest of the low. The scum of the fuckiing Galaxy! The most wretched, miserable, servile, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilization. Some people hate the Empire. I don’t. They’re just wankers. We, on the other hand, can’t even be COLONIZED by wankers. Can’t even find a decent culture to be colonized BY. We’re ruled by effete assholes. It’s a SHITE state of affairs to be in, Biggs, and ALL the fresh air in the world won’t make any fucking difference!”— Luke Skywalker, aka “Farm Boy”

So the production title for this is rumours to be 'Joshua tree'. I like it better than Red Cup or space bear.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
But Vader also tells Luke that Obi-Wan also thought, like Luke does, that Vader could be turned back to good. How does Vader know that? Did Obi-Wan try to turn him? Did they discuss it? We certainly haven't seen anything like that yet. I think Vader & Obi-Wan have interacted more than we've seen. There's more to tell.wease wrote:Exactly.Strat wrote:However, before their battle begins he says something "something something, last i saw you i was but the learner now i am the master...."wease wrote:Yeah, but it kinda loses something if that since turns out to be 4 1/2 years ago.bune wrote:
That line is super open-ended.
So, I dont think they would have been able to meet yet again after Mustafar in a period where Darth feels he was still the aprpentice of Obi Wan.
Doesn't mean any of that will be in this movie though.

Also, totally agree that this would be a perfect time to introduce Ahsoka to the movie - only audience. Let's get the best Star Wars character not named Luke or Chopper on the big screen!

It's so weird how anti Vader in Rogue One that I was. But I'm all about Vader being in this. I fucking LOVE that idea.

What is this movie is just Ahsoka and Obi-Wan betting on pod races?durdencommatyler wrote:Don't I know it. One idea I'm kicking around is it's not a one set piece story. Rather obi wan remembering things and jumping back and forth in his life. Vader does make perfect sense to be in this.
Especially cos Ben doesn't know Anakin is alive and is Vader. Cut to Vader trying to hunt him down. What if Ashoka arrives to tell him? She figured it out first of all.
I dunno. Joshua tree.

Re: Star Wars: Kenobi (TBD)
I love where your mind is going. And I'm thinking all the same things. I don't think this will be JUST Obi-Wan in the dessert. There must be off-world stuff, too. I heard one pod-caster calling it Obi-Wan vs Ben Kenobi. Which I love. He talked about how Lucas said that the ability to live on in the Force (be a Force ghost, basically) game from selflessness.dimejinky99 wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:It's so weird how anti Vader in Rogue One that I was. I'd love to see an internal struggle between the two versions of the man. The one he wants to be and the one he SHOULD be. I fucking love that idea. And then on top of that, he could get word that Anakin is Vader. Either Ahsoka tells him or maybe Qui-Gonn (Because he HAS to be in this a Force ghost guiding Obi-Wan and teaching him from time to time, helping him let go and be the man he needs to be).
Maybe we see The Inquisitors on screen. That would be baller! And he'll have to have some kind of confrontation with Vader. It doesn't have to be the whole movie. Like Rogue One, Vader could just be in a handful of scenes. But, yeah, I think seeing Vader and/or Inquisitors hunting Jedi. Seeing Obi-Wan struggle with his sense of duty to Luke and his sense of duty to the galaxy at large. An Ahsoka cameo. This could be a great movie. Especially in the hands of a director that understands character and works well with amazing actors.
