The Winterfell payoff was great, but didn't completely justify the several episodes it took to get there. Littlefinger's reaction was perfect.

Yeah it seemed abrupt and unearned, even though I liked where it ended up.

Ultimately, we knew that would be his destiny. I just wish there was a little bit more built up to the payoff.

That could be the theme of this entire season.

Well, yeah. I thought the ending montage with the Jon reveal/coitus was predictable but well done. Also, Verb would love Jon's BMI.

Not a bad episode, i think most of my gripes have been pretty well summed up already, little uneven, little too summed up and poised for the final episodes, although i was pretty happy with the little finger scene.

I've been frustrated with Jamie's decisions in the past two seasons to stick with Cersei but it makes sense for him to go north to fight the wight. The same guy who killed the Mad King to save the city would march north.

Both Rhaegar and Aegon were dead by the time Jon was born. I assumed it was Lyanna who named him.

i think naming their child would've come up in discussions. Also, she would be aware of the existence of Aegon as an educated noble, while her knowledge of the deaths is questionable.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'm not complaining; I'm thankful to live in a world where my Sunday night includes sitting on my butt watching a show about dragons. But it wasn't a good episode, mostly because the season didn't set it up to be.

I had a moment of clarity.

Solid ending to a way too brief season. All the pieces are in place for a epic series final. Can't wait but I have to wait for what, two years for this? Brutal.

At first I was confused with Jon's real name but I like it now, especially after revisiting the house of the undying scene. The "His is the song of ice & fire" quote from Rhaegar makes a lot more sense because he is speaking about his child named Aegon.

Also: Aegon VI was murdered. Aegon VII lives on. 7 kingdoms, 7 gods, 7 kings named Aegon
