Well that went as expected but a lot of surprises too.

Greyjoy finally standing up for himself was just brilliant. So rewarding. The whole Littlefinger thing was so fucking delicious. Just perfect. What can the next season do except be all out war?

At what point did Sansa and Arya start conspiring together? Some of their scenes in episode 6 were in private. Was that just for show?

It's almost like they didn't think it through.

So much of this season makes good sense on paper but was executed very poorly.

Much of it doesn't even make sense on paper.

so i must not have been paying attention to the scene where cersei threatened Jaime... He walked away, but didn't she have the mountain go after him? What happened there? He goes north to help, right?

Didn't seem like she did. We also saw Jamie ride away from the city as it started snowing.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Ugh, this was the worst part for me. Watching him get kicked in the patch where his junk used to be, to immediately turn into mini-Euron, was so stupid.

The whole thing was stupid. Jon forgiving him was stupid too.

I enjoyed the episode. Good to finally get the flashback scene, and the whole Jon as a Targaryen finished. Great last scene at the wall. Should be a wonderful last season.

The production, acting and overall concept and story has been second to none, both this season and every season. However, there had been plenty to criticise these last few episodes, mostly with the writing. Both the Jon/Dany, Sansa/Arya, the a-team beyond the wall, and more could have better. Still my favorite show by far. Look forward to another season and another book.

I had to re-watch this scene with CC on, because I was a little lost. Basically Cersei threatens to have the Mountain kill Jaime, reasoning that she has an heir in her womb. Jaime says "I don't believe you," and walks away.

i thought the "i don't believe you" part was him calling her bluff on killing him, not about the baby. maybe i need to go back and rewatch.

So is Jaime going north without the Lannister army? Because if that's the case what help does ol' Jaime one-hand think he can give to this fight? I hope he shows up without an army and Dany simply executes him for murdering her father.

With him and Dany as a couple it probably means a lot less than it could have. Still it gives them/him a sort of legitimacy with everyone (the people and nobles) apart from Cersei, should they/he survive the great war.

It's also easier for Sansa to be warden of the north.

I feel like people forget Varys's riddle to Tyrion about where true power comes from. Basically, the noble houses make a decision as who to follow as king. Those noble houses only have known him as Jon Snow, Ned Stark's bastard. I think it would take something more than a high septon's diary and the word of his "brother" who speaks mysteriously of visions to put him in a position of power in light of his parentage. Being a legitimate Targaryean has to mean something more to the overall story and I'll keep saying so until the show/books give me a reason otherwise. It just wouldn't make sense.

I continue to believe they essentially destroyed character development and storylines for the sake of really cool dragon destroying shit footage
