I recently read an article from a Seattle insider. He wrote that when Soundgarden performed the first shows after making the record, that's when everyone realized that the scene had entered a new era.
What does any of this have to do with the fact Temple of the Dog being an overrated and "blah" album?

I don't even know what to say to this. It's easily up there with Ten and Badmotorfinger from the same year.

TOTD is one of the best albums in the combined Pearl Jam/Soundgarden/Cornell/Vedder universe. Say Hello 2 Heaven is the star song of that album. It is The Tribute to Andy Wood from Chris (his close friend and flatmate) with the help of Stone (Andy's best friend) and Jeff (friend and bandmate). It's really not strange.
I never said it was strange.
You sounded surprised by the six votes. I read that as the six votes was strange to you. I'm sorry, English is not my first language.
I'm just being overly salty. I personally don't think there's any real competition between these two songs. But you're right, I'm not LITERALLY surprised. It makes sense given the make up of this board/community. I was just exaggerating to express how much more I love one song over the other, personally.

I probably like TOTD, Ten and Badmotorfinger about the same. None is a favorite of mine, but all of these have some killer songs.

I wish I liked Soundgarden more. They sound great on paper, but I'm just not that into most of what they made. I wish they were heavier or sludgier or more aggressive or something. I dunno.

Will be interesting to see how the various albums do in the main tournament. Last matches in the pre-tournament tomorrow I think.

In 91-92 Cornell made Seasons, Flutter Girl, Spoonman, Birth Ritual, TOTD and Badmotorfinger. Not bad.

I expect Soundgarden will have a more than decent showing in the main tournament.

Flutter Girl dates back that early?
