It's definitely overblown, but it's still a little petty of the Rangers. They would be giving up a home series in September... in exchange for a home series the last three days of August. Boo hoo.

Brewers radio were talking about Hernan Perez tonight, and his wish to play catcher at some point this year, as its the only position he has yet to play in the big leagues.

Not sure if its Lane or Jeff tonight with Bob, but the back and forth went something like...

Lane/Jeff - "Perez has caught a few times down in the Carribean leagues during winterball, and has caught a few bullpen sessions recently and says hes ready to start a game"
Uecker - "man that's when I did some of my best catching was during the the winter league but the only guy around to see it was the snow plow driver over at County Stadium"

Classic Uecker.

This could've all been avoided had the Tigers not jumped the gun and extended his contract 2 years before they had to. People said they couldn't let the face of the franchise walk. Now they want to trade him. So infuriating.
