An American Werewolf in London is a goddamn treasure. It gets better with age.

The scene where he turns into a werewolf is gorgeous. I wish more effects still looked like that.

I saw that movie in the theater when it came out. I went with my sister and her boyfriend, i was probably 14 or 15 at the time. He turned to us when the wolf transformation happened for the first time and said, should we leave? This is terrifying. We stayed but i had real trouble sleeping for weeks afterLoathedVermin72 wrote:An American Werewolf in London is a goddamn treasure. It gets better with age.

Monsters - well that was dull
Also went and saw T2 in 3D at the local theater the other day. 3D didn't add much, but what a great movie

It Comes At Night.
It was beautifully shot, and the cast was superb...but it could have been so much good...its trying so hard to be arty that forgets about the actual story and characters. What a shame.

One of my favorite things about the movie is that the tough guy villain wears a Colorado Outward Bound hat.

IT was fucking great. A big, stylish, idiosyncratic, goofy, wonderful funhouse of a movie. And Bill Skarsgard - holy shit!

Re: What movies are you watching?
saw The Big Sick last night. It was a nice story, but I was felt wanting a little more from it. I didn't feel like I learned any lessons from it, but instead got a story of how two people met and the (based on true events) crazy shit that came from it. It had its humor and touching moments, but I feel like it sort of broad-stroked the family themes that it was centered around.
