Why would you take Parachutes off the record? It's the only great song without caveats on there.

Eh, even the other songs I like on this record have minor quibbles. This is the only one that's high-quality through and through, vocals, playing, lyrics, etc.

I guess you're bracketing the production?

Comatose is a perfect song for me. Life Wasted and WWS have small lyrical quibbles here and there (plus that wretched fade out), but the high points are so fantastic I still prefer those songs.

Not a knock against parachutes. Great song. I'd stack my top 4 on S/T (life wasted, wws, comatose, and parachutes) against 4 songs on any other record

Consider this: change history, this was the real track listing and what we actually received for ST.

Then we discover, after all these years, leaks of Inside Job and Gone. How would we feel about the leaks then?

I'm with stip in that LW, WWS and Comatose would have to be there. The 3 I could really do without are Big Wave, Gone and Inside Job... Comeback is just "ok", so it can stay. I'd only really mess with the 2nd half...and Cold Confession has to be the last song.
