I was listening to a podcast on global warming recorded a few weeks ago and the panicked scientist bro did a great job explaining why southern Florida is so screwed, in a nutshell it's because the whole thing is climate sensitivite bog at sea level (the Everglades) and porous limestone ground (Miami). Its possible in our lifetimes that Miami will no longer be habitable.

I know six families in Florida. All have been offered shelter here or Ohio. None are leaving Florida.
