I like Whale and Wasp. It's a good song. But this is no contest for Geek USA.

I guess I really just can't process Smashing Pumpkins in any kind of meaningful way.

Whale and Wasp.

Geek USA sounds like someone went up to Billy and challenged him to write a song -- a competent, well performed, expertly played song -- that sounds like the feeling of having diarrhea. Which is impressive and admirable in it's way. But just like diarrhea... I really don't want it.

Like the sound of diarrhea when you have it? That squirty, ploppy sound?

I really didn't mean it as any kind of insult. I really think someone said, "Hey Billy, you think you're so great? Well write a really good song, where you and the band aren't actively trying to fail or play badly, that actually sounds like the hour I spent on the toilet last night."

And he said... "Challenge accepted."

And here we are. He did a great job.

No. The sound of the feeling of having violent diarrhea.

Whale and Wasp blows Geek U.S.A. so far out of the water, that I hardly have words for it.

I like that. I'm sure we will strongly disagree a few times as well, but that's just part of the fun. Just keeping it honest, and listening to good music.
