Ugh, this sucks almost as much as Very Ape/Porch, but Cherub Rock is just better. Both great songs, though

Two top tier songs, very difficult match. First listen I liked Vasoline better, might have to think about this one.

Cherub Rock is a fantastic song, but Vasoline is a personal favorite.

Vasoline by a country mile. And I like Cherub Rock quite a bit. But yeah, this isn't a contest for me.

Vasoline is awesome.
Somehow that trainwreck of an idea for a guitar riff works wonders with my brain. I remember having a fuck of a time keeping up with that drum beat going on.

This is one of the very few instances in this tournament where I think the song SP is competing against is not just one I favor personally, but also the more interesting composition. As was alluded to previously, that "Vasoline" guitar riff is such a beast technically - really off-kilter, hard to keep up with. It seems like the song should fall apart. It sounds deceptively simple on the surface, but it is truly odd. I can't think of another song that operates quite the same way. And all used in service of an infectious, accessible rock song? Magnificent.

It may be the definitive STP song. Weiland thought so.

Plush is the definitive STP song.

These songs were both fun on drums in Rock Band 1.

Vasoline was so hard when I was first playing the game and learning because of the whacky rhythm though it doesn't seem hard to me now but its hard to wrap your head around at first when you've never had to do anything complicated. Cherub Rock might have been the most fun drum song in the game though so maybe that's why I feel attached to it

Cherub Rock was the only Guitar Hero song my brother could consistently beat me on.

Both of them are pretty damn good, I'll go with Cherub Rock I guess.

Why do hit singles keep ending up against each other in this?
