This morning appears to confirm that KJU is measurably less crazy than the President of the United States.

Did they hack it, or did Moon Jae-in just send it to them? I hear he's a communist sympathizer*.McParadigm wrote:

Was he the guy that said he’d rather see the north with nukes than more American soldiers in the country?simple schoolboy wrote:Did they hack it, or did Moon Jae-in just send it to them? I hear he's a communist sympathizer*.McParadigm wrote:

Frankly at this point I think we should be more scared of not doing something about it. This guy has made good on every threat and now has the capability to hit us. I don't see any other way of dealing with this guy.dimejinky99 wrote:‘We’re taking care of it ‘ - Trump.

Question is, given ol' wormy the soldier...are these guys really going to fight to the death for dear leader or are they praying that someone storms across the DMZ?

You honestly believe NK has the capability to hit anyone with a missle? The US even?

Pretty sure that's what was established today. Unless I missed something.dimejinky99 wrote:meatwad wrote:Frankly at this point I think we should be more scared of not doing something about it. The New York Times wrote:Experts said this latest launch — which landed west of the northern end of Honshu, Japan’s largest island — exhibited characteristics that underscored the increasing sophistication of North Korea’s program.
The missile flew higher and for a longer duration than two previous intercontinental ballistic missile launches, which flew for 37 minutes on July 4 and for 47 minutes on July 28.
David Wright, a scientist at the Union of Concerned Scientists, said the missile performed better than the two fired in July, and exhibited a potential range of more than 8,000 miles, able to reach Washington or any other part of the continental United States.
“It’s pretty impressive,” Dr. Wright said of the test flight. “This is building on what they’ve done before. It’s muscle-flexing to show the U.S. that they’re going to continue to make progress.”

Re: The DMZ: A thread about North Korea
They don’t need to hit the US. NK could kill >50m with conventional weapons in less than 30 mins given the order, a cost the US could not bear, so at some point we must fold. They really could just stream soldiers into the DMZ and win without even attacking Seoul directly. Is the south really going to just mow down tens of thousands of peasants with rifles? The chance to stop NK was when Kim Jong Il died and we passed it up. No we need to accept that we lost this one and admit that we cannot protect our allies, which was likely the real plan all along.
And remember, not that this helps, bio would work far better and is far more likely than nuclear and NK has top notch bio weapons.

Not to say that its true, but just...the situation is unclear enough that no one is making definitive statements.
