My WalMart is giving out tickets for pickup tonight at midnight. Got number 3 out of 17. Guaranteed one if I am there at midnight!

Two hours later a friend got the last number. You may want to call bune to see what your store is doing.

That's such an odd approach to tickets. I'm sure plenty of people planned on getting in line right after work for midnight releases. I'd be pissed if I were them.

It's Wal Mart we're talking about...

Brickseek is finally showing stock. Target is getting some serious inventory.

Had to stop there. I'm relieved because I can't go to any stores tomorrow until the evening. I can snag one at midnight, fire it up for a minute, and then go to bed with visions of sprites in my head.

Wal Mart screwed the pooch again. Apparently their ticketing system was not approved by the night manager. They chose to give the console to the first people in line tonight instead. Will get one in the next shipment for half off due to the "inconvenience". I may poke around a few stores tomorrow night to see it I can find one, but I'm already tired of this shit.

My credit card denied the preorder sale of a whopping $84 at Wal-Mart.com. I updated my payment information, but I'm really sweating it now. Uggghhhh. Nothing's easy.

OMFG, a different credit card flagged this purchase and made me confirm manually. WTF is going on! This doesn't happen to me usually.

Struck out at Target on the way to work. Stopped by Best Buy too and got a ticket for pickup between 10 and 1. They had 50+ tickets. I may get this yet!

The Wal-Mart that I went to showed 25 in stock yesterday. When I stopped by last night to ask about what they're going to do they said, "There's 15 here, there will be a line, and tickets will be handed out." Whatever to the 10 'missing' units, I'll just get there early.

I parked at 5:15 and there were already 20 people there. Fuck. I almost walked away but I thought - because I'm a naïve idiot - "Oh, they might not all buy one, right?" I'm glad I didn't leave because they handed out about 40 tickets, everyone who was in line got one this morning. It was pretty awesome.

Oh, uh...it was terrible. No good at all. People were turned away! Cats, dogs, falling from the sky!

Success. Turns out my Best Buy had 150. There were probably 50 people in line when the store opened.

Also the Amazon Truck is in Portland today and they're selling SNES Classics so I ordered one from them too. It's going to make a great Christmas present to my bro-in-law.

Sometimes those trucks will have the NES Classic too. Bastards.
