Yeah I'm confused why that's a question. What purpose would that serve? Even if it happened I don't see how it wouldn't be incredibly clunky and unnecessary.

They both know their father was one of the most evil men in the galaxy. They saw him redeemed and never knew who he was before. They're both naturally going to wonder who their mother was. They touch on it with Leia in the books and comics. (She visits Naboo and has a weird feeling when she sees a statue of Amidala). But that's as far as they've gone with it. They are both royalty too you have to remember as children of a queen.

It's just a glaring omission for me. They've never wondered and so far in canon don't know who their mother was? Seriously? Not something that should or would be shown onscreen but definitely something they should explore in the books.

I see what you mean. Especially for Luke. Leia at least has the Organas. She was raised by a mother and a father, even if they weren't her birth parents, they loved her and she them. But Luke has no idea who is mother was. I imagine he's been pretty curious about his entire family tree since the events of Return of the Jedi.

And I agree that this is stuff best explored in books/comics. But it would be nice to see some of it in some form.

Totally agree. It would be a natural part of his character feeling sort of separate and outside and then redefining Vader to Anakin he's totally gonna wanna find out about his ma. Maybe force ghost Anakin fills him in? I dunno. Weird to me it's never been explored. She was a queen of a planet how do they not know that?! aside from them not having natural curiosity about it.

I'm not even gonna watch the trailer until after 11pm tonight. At the very earliest. Probably not even until TOMORROW. So there.

I got all the feels watching the commercials for the trailer last night during the Chiefs game. I thought my friends were gonna punch me because I wouldn't quit squealing.
