That kind of kills all discussion of individual pearl jam shows. Most people are not also going to be listening to some random 2003 show at the same time I do. If anybody listens to it in two months, they will never find the discussion on it.

If you guys want things organized having a megathread of a billion different shows is really not great organization since a discussion of one 2003 show is not the same as a discussion of another 2003 show.

Ruddo, let's merge all these show threads into their appropriate tour threads.

They should have made me the live forum mod years ago. We'd have this place spick and span.

Maybe instead you should make subforums for each tour year. So you'd click the 2003 sub forum and then can discuss 2003 shows inside there.

it just seems impossible to navigate discussion on individual boots when you have a topic to discuss 20 different shows.

The individual tour threads are only a few pages long. You're making them sound like 300 page GD threads.

So if somebody listens to a 2003 MSG show or something, are they expected then to scroll through 15 pages of the 2003 tour thread to see if anybody is discussing it?

To me its like if we removed the threads about faithful, brain of J, etc, and said you could only talk about these songs in the Yield thread

If you have to scroll back that long, no one is discussing it currently. Just start talking about it and if people care they'll join in.

I dont feel like ctrl+F'ing melbourne on every single page of the 1995 tour thread to see if anybody is discussing it...thats just so inconvenient

Your way over compartmentalizes the conversation. A lot of the observations you have about a specific show would be relevant to the conversation about the tour as a whole.

Also, your live tweeting as you listen to a bootleg should just go in the "which bootleg are you listening to?" thread. That's exactly what that thread is for.

If someone comes back a year later and wants to talk about it, they just will. I don't think they are going to care what you thought about it a year ago. They'll talk about it, and if you want to discuss it with them and they are around, you'll join in. You don't show up at a party with your friends and say "hey, let's go back to what you guys were talking about an hour ago" do you?

That will catch some posts. It also catches melbourne from different years. It also wont catch a string of posts that dont say the word melbourne in every single one
