I used to be a big-time Yankees fan. They still hold a special place in my heart, but it's not the same. I have trouble rooting against them, but I've found it more fun recently to just fall in love with an exciting team and jump on their bandwagon for a year or two. But, yeah, I guess I'm a Yankees fan
I get that. This is the first Yanks team in many years that I've actively been interested in. I really hated when they went on the free agent hired gun spree in the early 2000s with Giambi, ARod, etc. They were just hard to root for. They've finally gone back to building a younger core team again.

There's me. I'm not really a fan of the team but my best friend growing up was a Mets fan so I just glommed onto the Yankees to be a thorn in his side. I literally had no idea of the team before that.

For the NL I'm a Marlins fan because one of my other friends decided to back the Rockies. So I did the same thing as before and just picked the other expansion team.

The 2003 World Series was a tough one for me.

I was at that WS game when the Marlins clinched the title at Yankees Stadium. That was...interesting.

EJ wrote:Good luck to your Astros, WM. I'd be rooting for them to win the whole thing if the Yanks weren't still playing.

They're the much better team and should win this series. I'd only be a bit upset if the Astros blow them away. The Yanks really overachieved this year, so everything after beating the Twins has been a bonus.
Thanks, EJ. I've never had anything against the Yankees like most of the baseball world does, but that might change if we lose this series and Judge gets the league MVP award over Altuve. Should be a fun one.

I'm all in on the Astros now. As a Baltimore fan, I can't root for the Yanks, but as an AL fan, I can't root for the Cubs or the Dodgers.

That would be ridiculous if that does happen.

I believe in Reid. I believe he's found the balance required to remain upright.

I would probably pick Altuve, but Judge is absolutely deserving.
