Re: TV: The Orville (Fox)
Woof. Yeah, I don't know. I want to like this. I like some of the cast. I think Seth MacFarlane is a funny guy. But he's a terrible actor. I'm not thrilled that he's front and center in this. But, I'll give it a go. See what it's like. Adrianne Palicki looks like she's gonna own this.

Have had a lot of fun with this so far. Lots better than I imagined. Look forward to the new episode each week.

I liked the first episode, but haven't seen the rest yet. It seems nice.

I've never liked anything Seth Macfarlane has done, so I'm as surprised as anyone.

And that was arguably the worst episode. The fourth episode was great.BurtReynolds wrote:I liked the first episode, but haven't seen the rest yet. It seems nice.

Watching the first episode right now. Is that Spiner doing the robot voice?

I just started recording this last night, I hope I'll just be able to jump in to the story.

I loved the first episode. It’s everything Discovery should be.bada wrote:I just assumed I should skip this. Is it really good?

Re: TV: The Orville (Fox)
Im hearing it's actually better than Discovery and it's played straight just with comedy elements, not flat out gag after gag.
Gonna wait til the seasons over and binge watch em.

Re: TV: The Orville (Fox)
True. The only bad part of the show is when they miss with a joke, and even repeat it. But it’s a legit drama as well, with serious decisions, and people dying. Sometimes it is even really funny.dimejinky99 wrote:Im hearing it's actually better than Discovery and it's played straight just with comedy elements, not flat out gag after gag.

I read somewhere that McFarlane had pitched a Star Trek show to CBS a few years back. If this is what became of it, they should’ve taken it.

Just got caught up last night. Great show. That most current episode was pretty weird, tho.
