One thing that struck me: when he talks about kneeling football players, he uses language that separates them from the concept of 'Americans.' Maybe not implied foreign, like with Puerto Rico, but...not stakeholders. Others. Its "so disrespectful to OUR country when THEY take a knee." Those pronouns keep recurring, and I can't tell if it's a dog whistle or just lazy low-vocab stupidity.

I think it's at *least* as likely that it's just an artifact of being less articulate than an 8th grader who just got high in the bathroom, but I can't pretend to think that's any less concerning a reality.

I'm little surprised he hasn't fallen into referring to himself in the 3rd person.
