Cos rogue one is awful and it's tainted your view of any further stand alone films.

I with Ruddo. I think there's a chance this movie could ruin one of the most iconic comedy duos in the space genre. The thing I like about Han is that we know he has a seedy and mysterious past. Classic bad guy turned good story, who goes from only caring about saving his own ass (and making money) to someone that's part of saving the galaxy.

Spelling out his past could sour this. Especially if the actor is not nailing the part, and the story is shite.

I'm really worried for this one, it could potentially be the lowest point in the franchise.

I'm not quite as invested in Han as a character as others are. So, while I agree it could be the low point in the franchise, the stakes aren't all that high for me. If it sucks, it sucks. So what? And I move on. It won't ruin the Han Solo I know from the other films. That legacy is secure, for me.

Holy shit.

If it's worse than him, then I'm out of Star Wars for good.

This will have absolutely no impact on me and my feelings towards Han and what he was to the OT and TFA. They can't take that away from you people. Just because you hate lightning bolt, doesnt mean Vitalogy isn't mind blowing.

Star Wars fans seem to be of the mind that there'll be a few Han movies being made. Possibly three. I think they're getting way ahead of themselves. This one would have to be a massive success surpassing even Rogue one for that to be even considered.

It simply won't do those kind of numbers. A new guy playing Han is just a bridge too far for most to start with. And coming only 5 months after the last Jedi? Just don't see it happening. Even if it's moved to Christmas which it might still be.

Han is probably my favourite character and I've little to no investment in this film so far.

I'm with you. There's a minuscule chance that this movie could build on or improve the Solo mythos, but there's a huge possibility to fuck up the character mightily.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

If it enhances the character the way rogue one did for a new hope, we'll be happy.

the one thing i have total confidence in is the handling of charater and tone. thats why LandM were let go. And Ron Howard will respect him. but i agree that this isnt a story begging to be told.

Rogue One enhanced ANH? I'm not a Rogue One hater, but I don't know that I find ANH more enjoyable since we got that movie.
