Re: NBA Thread
ugh, while I never thought the C's would win it all this year, I was so looking forward to watching them gel together and work together to get ready for serious contention in the next 2-3 years. But that all ended in the first quarter of the first game.
Hopefully, he comes back at full strength, part of me thinks the C's have now seen a good portion of their $100+ million investment lost or severely diminished.
Terrible feeling for him, Stevens, Irving, etc. Thought it was a classy move that Isiah Thomas stayed in the locker room with Hayward for an extended period of time after the injury. He recruited him to the C's.
Just fucking gruesome on so many levels. But as I often say, sports is a war of attrition, other superstars will get hurt, so you never know what happens.

Is this an early start this season? Didn't the regular season use to begin in November?

Yes it's about 10 days earlier. Trying to eliminate 3 games in 4 nights from schedules.Biff Pocoroba wrote:Is this an early start this season? Didn't the regular season use to begin in November?

It's either that or they got 1 of their 7 losses out of the way already.Monkey_Driven wrote:Warriors will go 0-82.

I'm thinking they win around 65 games. Kerr was just playing around with lineups last night.4/5 wrote:It's either that or they got 1 of their 7 losses out of the way already.Monkey_Driven wrote:Warriors will go 0-82.

Re: NBA Thread
Barring injury of course, there is no way they do so poorly. Last year's team was the greatest assemblage of talent ever and is somehow deeper and has a year of playing together under its belt.Monkey_Driven wrote:I'm thinking they win around 65 games. I suppose a second thing could be lots of rest down the stretch. But I really can't imagine them being at full strength and not winning 70 games.
As usual in this thread I hope I'm wrong.

You're probably right, but history says otherwise. All those deep playoff runs will catch up to them.4/5 wrote:Barring injury of course, there is no way they do so poorly. Strong take by Pierce criticizing the Admiral's receding hairline given he sported the worst beard in the league for the past 10 years.
