I dont get why we have a separate topic for lets actually listen, the major flaw, the best song, etc, on each album, but we cant have a topic for best live version of a song or discussing live versions of a song

But if its that this topic ends up being too UNFOCUSED that it might as well just be general, it could change to 'what is the best live version of' which is what I was gonna do originally in the first place

Album threads don't clutter a board as much as individual song threads. There are a lot of songs. If you end up with a thread for most of them (live), this place is going to be a cluster fuck.

That should probably be separated from RM itself.

You could set up something like a web poll, then coordinate "let's listen to.." threads on RM for each of the versions on pearljambootlegs.net (Or whatever that streaming site is). Then report back the top 5 vote getters for round two. I'd participate in that.

ya know what, I like the idea of this live versions of a song thread a frickin'lot. it's true--a live versions of each song is TOTALLY different than just the song thread. the song itself thread is kind of boring. the live versions thread is going to be so cool. I support mikejavkarn's idea. it is not clutter, it is going to be exciting. separate this mother hubbard

A topic where you can all post the best live versions of Once you can find, or discuss the transformation of Once live over the years.

Originally I thought maybe a topic to find the best live version of each song would be great, because then you could at the end have a reference to ALL THE BEST LIVE VERSIONS OF ALL OF THE SONGS.

But then I thought...it'd also be interesting to discuss different versions of each song over the years and see how they transformed.

And because you guys hate clutter I figured they could both be in one place.

So post your favorite ever live version of Once, post different versions of it over the years, or just discuss how you think the band plays this live - whether its which drummer plays it best, which tour it sounded greatest on, etc, etc, etc
