I certainly don't hate Backspacer. It's my least favorite Pearl Jam album but I like all of their albums.

Just started listening to it now. Gonna See My Friend does sound more aggressive. It has sort of lost the gloss. Got Some was great. Honestly, I've never heard it better. However, something is off with The Fixer version. Worse than the original.

None of the other songs really stood out as better versions, but still it was an interesting listen. I think it does show that these last records could have been better if the mixing/mastering was a bit more raw, and less overproduced.
