Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
I think I watched the first trailer... ? Maybe? If I did, it didn't leave much of an impression.

He's talked about how much he loves Dune. It's been a dream project for him. There was even some speculation that he got Blade Runner 2049 as a sort of test run for Dune.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Did we already know this? Villeneuve to direct Dune reboot, written by Eric Roth?!

But I had not heard there had been an official announcement of the project. That's awesome. I'll absolutely see it. No question.

I saw another article/interview where he said they are going back to the roots, to the book. So he is talking like it is happening. Man oh man, I may have just leaked a little...durdencommatyler wrote:He's talked about how much he loves Dune. It's been a dream project for him. Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
Put me aside for a second.
Two weeks ago finished the best book I’ve ever read. I thought its only flaw might be it’s too geo specific but it isn’t.
This was just announced. It’s picked up and Ridley Scott is set to direct. I’m floored. It’s such an amazing book. The hearts invisible furies. By john boyne. He also wrote boy in the striped pyjamas.
This is gonna be amazing

I'm not familiar with the hyena names but I'm guess it's the three on the bottom.
