That is why I come here. I don't post a lot, but enjoy reading the threads. Originally joined back in 2004, but was late re-registering for the new board. I admit, the anticipation of the new album is what got me re-registered to make a few posts. As much as I have been disappointed in PJ since 2006, I still can't help but get excited for new material.

I've always creeped these forums, but never posted, same goes for my cousin. We're both 26. Grew up with PJ and we're very, very hardcore fans. What made me start posting was when I saw how sour this place has become. One guy posted that he hated the fact that GA tickets were going to be available.

That being said, I really don't know anyone else other than my cousin who is our age and loves PJ as much as I do. I wear my Stickman t-shirt all the time!

Welcome!

I agree that this place can be negative at times. However, I think this place is much closer to being balanced than the pit.

Just remember that you don't have to agree with someone's opinion, but at least respect it. :)

Just a few things for the new blood:

Please don't just start a thread for every thought you have about Pearl Jam. We have a thread for many things regarding the band. Please use the search function to look for a topic before you create one.

There are a lot of older fans of the band here who have been following them since 1991. If a majority of us say we don't like the Fixer, that doesn't make the board a "negative place". We are just set in our ways and like older PJ better.

If there ever is a rumor of a leak floating around, just PM RM user theplatypus or @Skitch, they more than likely have what you are looking for.

I jumped on board in 1999 because of LAST KISS and even I hate The Fixer.

Strangely, there are some of us who have been aboard since 91/92 AND like The Fixer.

I like the fixer. The playing is great. Band is so tight and solid on that. That guitar riff is excellent.

Hey, I didn't say Just Breathe (and the Stip/LMS alliance falls apart again).
