Re: Arcade Fire
Contrary to what seems like near universal opinion I like this new album quite a bit.
Everything now and put your money on me are absolute top shelf. I really like sign of life, we don't deserve love, and Peter Pan. Creature comfort is good. Good god damn, electric blue and chemistry are fine. The infinite content and bookend pieces can be annoying.
I might put this one above reflektor and neon Bible (well... maybe not NB)

The tracks that I did like have stuck with me. 4-5 decent tracks on this album.

Re: Arcade Fire
Funny enough the opening run of Everything Now --> Signs of Life --> Creature Comfort is my favourite starting run to any album this year. Sad it loses its way from there.PHATJ wrote:Higgs wrote:Absolutely.LetMeSleep wrote:The tracks that I did like have stuck with me. 4-5 decent tracks on this album.

Then jump to the last two tracks.Higgs wrote:Funny enough the opening run of Everything Now --> Signs of Life --> Creature Comfort is my favourite starting run to any album this year. Re: Arcade Fire
After some real initial disappointment, I can now get on board with this. Those are the only 5 songs I listen to as well. The rest are really awful though.LetMeSleep wrote:Yeah that sounds reasonable. The tour has been selling terribly. San Diego seats were probably 1/2 empty. I read it's been like that at most cities. They are no longer an arena band though not sure they ever were really.BDB wrote:so why are tickets so cheap ?
