Mansfield '03 Pre-set
I don't think this comes close to Benaroya so far...Benaroya had a warm beautiful full haunting sound, while this is choppy and harsh. Really bad Long Road and Of the Girl and Sometimes to open, and so far not ONE great version of any of the songs they've done.
I dunno why people hold it in Benaroya's league but its weird they were the same year since they sound so different to me

so much better than benaroya
also, I would suggest using this as a thread for the three mansfield shows in 2003, not just the preset of the final show

What makes you think its better than Benaroya?
Driftin' so far is the first great performance. This is really good.

Driftin through Footsteps has been good after an awful start, but so far nothing touches the magic of Benaroya yet. Really good Footsteps and Driftin though

Re: Mansfield '03 Pre-set
better setlist is the one that is crazy to me. Benaroya has so many great amazing songs, Mansfield really doesnt have much that its missing. I guess Footsteps is the main one. Whereas Benaroya has so many AMAZING songs that Mansfield does NOT have (Immortality, Down, Dead Man, Masters of War, Black, Low Light, Thumbing My Way)

I seem to remember a lot of little flubs in the Mansfield set. Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me, I haven't listened to it in a long time.

I think this is an RM first. I agree with MJD. I prefer Benaroya over this.

Agreed Footsteps was a big highlight, but Benaroya had so MANY highlights.
