I always say, and Stip agrees, that albums really only make sense when we have the one that follows.

Riot act was shat on for a long time and now continues to enjoy a renaissance.

Same will be true of Backspacer.

Whether that indicates that PJ records are getting progressively worse is debatable but I don't think that's the case.

so I just got a call from my wife. They are going to deliver the baby tonight instead of two weeks from today, so I'm off to the hospital.

I still don't love Riot Act. There's more depth to that album than what follows, but its not the most enjoyable listen from start to finish for me.
