I don't get how anyone could be so averse to animal death/suffering that they refuse to watch even fake depictions of it in movies.

They are animals. Animals die. We eat them all the time. What's the big deal? Why is it worse than seeing countless people die in movies?

I hate when animals suffer in movies.
Just out of curiosity, did any of the death(s) in Fantastic Mr. Fox bother you at all?

I can’t handle animals dying in movies either, but I feel like Anderson’s characters are so humanized that I’m not bothered by it.

The difference being that people die all the time in movies. We’re more desensitized to it.

Sounds like you're calling for more animal deaths in movies. That's fucked up.

Yeesh. Don’t put words in my mouth. All I’m saying is it’s a lot different to watch a claymation rat get stabbed than watching live action Old Yeller die.

Kind of interesting that Anderson ended up doing a stop motion animation like Kaufman's Anomalisa. This looks good though.

I like when dogs are depicted like Keith Richards . Then you don't know which side of the rail they're walking down and neither do they
