Seems pretty logical that they would? At least as far as disabling/enabling accounts. Depending on the guy's role, it makes perfect sense that they'd be able to do that.

I wonder what kind of legal trouble this opens him up to. Real dumb move IMO

Yeah, from a admin perspective sure. But I meant that internets are still magical to most of the world and they probably aren’t consciously aware that the employees of places like Facebook and Twitter have that kind of power over the platforms. It also feeds into that whole “social media is censoring us!” line we hear from the right now.
