Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

I got exited with the first teaser back in april.

These days is more of a ¨oh yeah this movie is coming¨ but i was more into It or BR2049 than this thing.

And look how that turned out. I’m sorry For your troubles.

How it turned out? BR is awesome. It was good.

Yknow that new space coating for fabric that you can spray it on clothes or shoes and throw anything like oil or ketchup or any kind of liquid, and it just totally rolls off ?

That’s me and blade runner. The eye at the start of the film? Doesn’t want me watching. And I don’t want to watch the film. And I have tried a few times. Just not for me. My loss probably.

Even the sequel? Yeah, its a huge loss.

Blade Runner 2049 is an amazing film. I was mesmerized and captivated the entire time.

I'm not not excited, just cautious. I just don't want them not to take risks just to keep it appealing to the masses.

Doesn't taking risks, by definition, mean they won't be appealing to the masses? Isn't that exactly the thing people criticize The Force Awakens about the most? Playing it safe and "remaking" A New Hope, and taking risks can't both be appealing to the masses, right?

I don't even know what I was trying to say. Just that TFA felt very safe to me, like after the prequel debacle, they didn't want to do anything to piss off anyone any further. I guess I just don't want another "safe" movie is all. I'll be super excited for it by December, I'm sure.

True. At least it will be easy for this movie to top TFA.

You should probably watch TFA again before seeing Last Jedi.

I will. I've seen it twice in the cinema (3d with a group of friends the day after the premiere, then 2d with my girlfriend at the time, a couple of weeks later), and three times on blu-ray at home (once on release, once before Rogue One, and once with a good friend), and also browsed through it on Netflix once. So really different experiences each time. But I'll rewatch it before I go see The Last Jedi.

I love Star Wars, and even after seeing TFA so many times, I'm still a bit disappointed by it. I'm not some ultra-negative person in this context. I love all three of the original trilogy, have more praise (and criticism) for the first two prequels than most, and like Clone Wars, ROTS and R1. I think the flaws in TFA are really apparent, but I respect that others feel differently. Despite that, I think large parts of the movie deliver in high quality, and is very entertaining.

No. Not the praetorian guards (the guys in red). Those are on both sides of Hux in the background. What I'm talking about are the two black robes to the right of Hux, in the middle distance. Zoom in, it's clear that something was edited out of the images. They look like robes with nothing in them.

The green circle thing? RM was obsessed with putting green circles around things in images that they wanted to emphasize. It became a whole thing.

I saw the pic you’re referring to. It could be operators for that machine. Speculation is rife is it a torture machine or some sort of life support Snoke needs. I don’t see why he’d have that in his throne room. That’s more a personal quarters thing.

I hope they don’t go full tilt stupid Legends with it and make it some sort of machine that amplifies the force to do nefarious shit. Ugh. Or strips a force user of its abilities or some shit
