I can understand why people still have a problem with Backspacer, but S/T? Really? C'mon... I just don't get it. That's been my go-to PJ album ever since it came out. I'm not a huge fan of the slower second half once it hits Gone but the first 8 tracks just shred in a way that no other PJ album does. It's just a relentless attack up to that point.
And to dime's point, I remember constantly defending RA back in the day to comments like "Pearl Jam's done for", "this is the end of PJ as we know it", etc. And now it is kind of funny that I'm doing the same thing with Backspacer when everyone's saying things like "RA was the last great album they made". Ha ha, kinda funny. Do yourselves a favor and blast out GSMF really loud at some point today!
