I should have said: there is a magic stone in it, but it has pretty much nothing to do with the story.

i was also a little annoyed they used the immigrant song twice. and i really have no idea why it did. hemsworth delivered his comedic lines very well i just dont think they are the essence of the character of thor. i think they were too heavily influenced by deadpool to be honest

I didn’t really see a Deadpool influence, other than perhaps giving them confidence to go in this direction. The humor is very much in the style of this director

director yes and i seen hes big on improv. but like i said, humor isnt a big part of the thor mythology so it really just felt like a totally different character. the first two movies the humor was more unintentional as in he just didnt understand humans and the way they act

One joke that stuck out to me was when the crazy social worker handed Jeff Goldblum the melty stick. I thought he would have said something about not handing it to him melty side first but instead it was just some off-hand comment about how the deed wasn't worth the punishment. Eh.

There were some audible gasps from the audience at the mention of orgies. Kind of hilarious in its own way.

I dunno if anyone here mentioned it, but the "Orgy" joke was totally lame. I didn't hear a single person even chuckle either showing I went to. It was even worse than the porn joke in Spider-man Home Coming. WHY say orgy? you just had to say "its for the Grand Masters, private, parties" Adults would get it, and parents wouldn't have 10 year olds wanting to know about orgies. Leave that humor for Deadpool.
Spoiler: show
They should have left the Grandmaster and Planet Hulk for a Gaurdians movie? or something else. It totally took away from the seriousness of Hela and Ragnarok. Dont know why I spoilered that but eh oh well.

Was the orgy joke really any worse than.....

Thor: I spun the hammer really fast and it would pull me off -
Korg: Oh my God! The hammer pulled you off?

The majority of the Korg stuff fell flat for me but other than that I thought most of the jokes landed.

I loved Korg - I thought he was one of the best characters in the film, but it could be a kiwi thing

The rock-paper-scissors bits were really good.

Also, remember the leaked Avengers 3 footage from SDCC that had the Guardians finding Thor? I just looked again and

The Loki/ Hulk scene is probably the best scene from ALL the Marvel movies. It was absolutely perfect.

That porn joke got a huge laugh in my showing of Homecoming, including my wife and I. I don't remember the orgy joke from Ragnarok

valkryie had said when the got on the ship they were stealing from the grandmaster that this was his party/orgy ship

banner lets out, Orgy?

thor - might not want to touch anything

the components of the story all worked well together. but again i just cant stop thinking how they made thor a comedian (on purpose and not in the sense that he just didnt know better).

i really like cates portrayal of hela who was an amalgamation of 4 characters from the comics (hela, angela, lady death and perrikus {never heard of him}) and look forward to her in the final phase wrap up
