44. When the Levee Breaks vs. Ten Years Gone

Ten Years Gone is pretty good (as I've said before, I'm often not a huge fan of their ballad side), but When the Levee Breaks is just an absolute monster. All the praise that is heaped upon Achilles Last Stand really belongs here.

This one will take some thinking. I'm torn between the compositional sophistication of "Ten Years Gone" and the raw power of the performance in "Levee."

I gotta go with Ten Years Gone because there's just so much there to unpack. But When the Levee Breaks is the type of song I wouldn't mind winning this whole thing.

Stip's black tourney magic is tying me in knots.

I hate that this match has already happened. This was a dream semifinal for me.

And, as much as I love TYG, I still have to go with Levee. It just lays waste to everything in its path. I'm not sure I could honestly pick any other song over it in this tournament.

Achilles Last Stand is probably the only song I'd vote for over Levee. TYG is pathetic by comparison.

This is tough. I think TYG is the better song and I can get lost in all the guitar tracks but Levee is epic tone on all fronts. Levee is like 'shrooms, don't want them all the time but when the time is right there's nothing better.
