here's another i just saw for the first time. it was uploaded on 2/21/17.

A buddie and I were asked to put together a recap video for Earth Jam 1995, held in Atlanta, Georgia on April 22nd, 1995. I was the second camera- shooting only b-roll. This footage was on the Canon L1 hi-8. This was one of my first gigs in college so the footage is a little rough. I don't have the other angle we used for the recap video- so the video is rough at times. Also the audio is from the camera and isn't fantastic. This took place about a year after Nirvana broke up. I got to meet Dave backstage. Just a kid. Eddie was the big star at the time. Side note- we were told we could only shoot 3 songs. At the beginning of song 3, i got the death stare from Mike Watt to stop shooting. I quickly turned my camera off. Cheers.

When the members of Mookie Blaylock took the stage at Seattle's Off Ramp Cafe on October 22nd, 1990, they barely knew each other. Just weeks earlier they had hired drummer Jack Irons' basketball buddy Eddie Vedder as their new singer, and early songwriting sessions were incredibly fruitful. Feeling a huge sense of momentum, they booked their first gig at the Off Ramp. Thankfully, someone had the foresight to run a camcorder during this historic show.

As you can see, Eddie Vedder wasn't yet the confident frontman he soon morphed into – but they certainly had the songs. They wouldn't start recording Ten until the following March, but the band already had "Alive," "Once," "Even Flow," "Release," "Black" and other songs they'd eventually cut for the album. The lyrics to "Black" aren't quite done here, but it was pretty close. (Sadly, the beginning of the song is cut off.) Pretty soon Mookie Blaylock realized having the same name as a current New Jersey Net wasn't the best plan and they changed it to Pearl Jam.

Didn't even know the song, but what a perfect marriage of song and singer!!! Beautiful. It almost sounds like it could have been written for Eddie.

That's pretty good, I think his version of Heart To Hang On To (with Pete Townsend) is even better.

Yeah the Letterman performance is pretty strong IIRC.

32 shows and bonnaroo 08 is still my favorite, and seeing this song performed live (even in modified form) is still one of my favorite moments. going into my first show in 1998, and having little idea of what they played, i wanted to hear this and who you are. by 2008, 15-some odd shows, and a much better knowledge of their concert history, i'd resigned myself to the likelihood i'd never have the opportunity to hear either in a live setting. but NOPE, they completely surprise me, and really make this show memorable by playing two of my favorites i'd never thought i'd see, among the many other highlights in this particular night. what a show.

Thanks for sharing that...yeah, this band is always doing that to me too...they continue to give me something new in their live setting. WMA was such a cool song to play in that tour.
