Nah, you're spot on - i have a feeling these are on the new LB record too (which partly upsets me that i listened to em this soon in advance because minus MYM I'd like to just listen to them as part of a whole rather in pieces)

Let's assume these are on the new record, and LiR is track 3. From certain rumors, track 4 is MyM and CC is track 6. Listen to em in that order it actually enhances the experience a bit.

Songs are growing on me - would love if LB has dynamic range and not every song is Ed singing at the top of his (now horribly ashy) lungs.

Ok, getting excited for new LB. Of course, I could be wrong and these tracks not on it

But CC is #3 and LIR is #6 when you download those tracks, but they are where they are in the supposed 11 song set of avocado demos

I used to think that way, but now I'd prefer they work the new songs into their live shows so they can let them evolve a bit away from BO'B and ProTools. I think it would make for a better record even though we would lose the surprise of hearing the 'total package' of an album all at once.

Isn't mym 2 on that tracklist ?meaning cc would follow mym. And it has 12 tracks not 11. Doesn't mean that the leakers tracklist can't just be messed up and minus a song though. ;)

I'd be very surprised.

Even if they are, and I think that's at best a remote possibility, these are clearly old recordings. If the songs are included, they would've recorded them anew. The track numbers in the files are meaningless in terms of track placement for the new record.

It's already confirmed from the iTunes pre-order page that Mind Your Manners is track 2 on Lightning Bolt.

Yeah, only thing we know for sure is that track #2 on LB is MYM (according to itunes) and it is possible that when the leaker got what they did there were only gonna be 11 tracks

I like the versions of these we already have, the only reason I'd want them on the new album is because theyd steer the tone of the album from what we know so far to something pretty interesting I think.

Soundcheck song too, can't forget that.

Since I heard this one was pretty cool, I have intentionally avoided it. It will be something to look forward to on LB.

It's always been something of a mystery to me too.

To be honest, I always thought most of it was fabrications or baseless speculation - but now these two tracks have surfaced, I guess they must have had inside information at some stage. Unless verified, however, I'd still take most of it with a grain of salt.
Every time something comes out the italian site is further vindicated.
The majority of that info (up through Riot Act) came from a separate site; this Italian dude has kept up the tradition.

I had a conversation with the guy who did the original legwork and he said he simply called the studios and asked for a list of songs worked on. Apparently a log is kept at each studio.

You can't hear vocals properly so for all we know it could be Inside Job 2: Return of Mikes Lyrics feat. Eds weird vocal melody. Buuuut it definitely has potential to be bad ass.

I heard certain similarities to Tremor Christ - it has the same chopped approach in the riff section.

I see what you mean, though its not off kilter/dark enough to really sound like tremor christ.

Despite your self stated lack of musician's knowledge, your use of words and descriptive writing is quite entertaining. I'd like to nominate you as an RM resident music reviewer. :nice:
Thanks! But honestly, I'll defer that title/responsibility to Messrs Kevin Davis and McParadigm.

Ah.

I just really don't remember noticing it until ITW. But then, that's when other people started really posting about it and making fun. That's probably the only reason I noticed it in the first place.

Probably when we all realized it wasn't an anomaly but an actual thing.

When was Education recorded? I have a hint LIR was done at the same time, maybe even on the same day.

Wait, what's all this now? Was this discussed earlier? Can you point me toward a page number?
