It does. And, it is all because I'm ultimately disappointed that it is not Scott singing with them. But, hopefully, he can make his own mark with the band. It will be difficult though - he sounds way too much like him.meatwad wrote:The weird thing is that I really like it too, but it feels wrong for some reason.EJ wrote:Agreed. Re: The Stone Temple Pilots Thread
I just had the chance to listen to the Troubadour show in full and I have to say that I was mostly really happy with what I heard. Down, Still Remains, and Piece of Pie were my favorite performances. Jeff sounds enough like Scott to make the vocals familiar and yet he’s different enough to not be a carbon copy. And like VinylGuy said, if they change up set lists and play deep cuts that Scott often didn’t want to sing, I’ll be happy.

The new song still doesn't do much if anything for me, but the new guy's performance of Still Remains is

Re: The Stone Temple Pilots Thread
I was listening to Talk Show on my bike ride the other day and the first half of the album reminds me of Tiny Music. I wonder if the songs were leftovers from the album?
I also realized that the lyrics are atrocious for the most part. Just horrible.

Man I remember seeing Talk Show open for the Foo Fighters at a club in Montreal! Strange that I saw Talk Show before I ever saw STP live..VinylGuy wrote:Ive never listened to Talk Show or Army Of Anyone.

Re: The Stone Temple Pilots Thread
I swear I remember reading that the Deleo's not wanting to vary the sets was one of the reasons Scott went his own way. I still remember sitting front row at the Pantages for his Happy in Galoshes solo show when they started playing Atlanta. I couldn't believe it.PHATJ wrote:I just had the chance to listen to the Troubadour show in full and I have to say that I was mostly really happy with what I heard. Re: The Stone Temple Pilots Thread
Speaking of set lists, STP is inviting fans to submit set lists for their upcoming tour. They will be choosing lists for each upcoming show and giving away free tickets to the people with the chosen lists.
Here’s a link: https://settheset.com/t/stone-temple-pi ... er#album-5
Looks like 15 songs per set. I wish it was 20.
