The music is great but Eddie is pretty much 0-3 for me with spoken words

Here's my optimal RA at the moment:

1. Can't Keep
2. Save You
3. 1/2 Full
4. Cropduster
5. Down
6. I Am Mine
7. Thumbing My Way
8. You Are
9. Undone
10. Green Disease
11. Help Help
12. Get Right
13. Love Boat Captain
14. Arc
15. All or None

Switching 1/2 Full with LBC is the key. LBC is just not strong enough to be positioned as a center piece track and 1/2 Full sounds great ripping out from the end of Save You. I could still be convinced that Down just doesn't stylistically fit on RA so maybe I could put Ghost back in there at track 5. Also, on a similar note, I could be convinced that Bushleaguer belongs on there since it's probably the thematic centerpiece of RA. But for now, I'm happy with this because these are my top 15 tracks from RA.

Someday KurtLeon will unearth the sung version of Bushleaguer that supposedly exists. I await that day with anticipation.

As much as people get upset with the tracklisting for Binaural and RA, especially after LD was released, I think this is the reason these albums are so endearing to me. I spend way more time re-tracking and re-listening to Binaural and RA than any other album in the PJ catalogue and for that reason they've gotten a lot more attention from me over the last few years than other PJ albums (except for S/T, which is usually still first in my disc player).

I'll give him I'm Open. That track resonated deeply with me at one point in my life.
But yeah the music in Bushleaguer is fucking tops. Eddie hates Stone so much.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

Same here, really love the vibe of this song. Its searing. My favorite version is the VFC show in D.C. 2004.

Yep, this is just about perfect for me. And just for fun....

1st single: 1/2 Full
B-side: Bu$hleaguer

2nd single: I Am Mine
B-side: Ghost

3rd single: Save You
B-side: Other Side

4th single (double A-side): You Are/Down

I listened to the studio version today...its great. And i love the different layered vocals in the chorus. Thats how you mix multi layered vocals..

Great album with a few sub par songs...I always said if they released You Are as the first single then RA would have done alot better....Its a simple song lyrically but the music is awesome IMO....

Yea, I agree. I Am Mine was a strange selection as the first single. Especially coming off of Binaural, where we got NAIS and Light Years as the only 2 singles, I was really hoping for PJ to hit us with something a little more aggressive and heavy. When I first heard I Am Mine I was vastly underwhelmed. Of course, the first time I heard You Are I was probably like "wtf?" just because it was such a different sound for them. But that song would've done really well on the radio just because the chorus is so catchy. I would've preferred You Are, 1/2 Full or even Down as the first single.

Speaking of You Are, does anyone remember people comparing it to this song when it first came out?

Nope, it was released as a b-side to I Am Mine internationally (Australia, UK, Europe).

There's clear differences between the original version and the later remix on Lost Dogs.
There was a b-side version of Other Side too?

I would have been ok with a 6 year break between records if it would have meant this album would not have existed.

Too much?
