Star Trek Into Darkness was a great sequel. I hope he steers the ship back on course in IX.

I'm so glad I saw this last night for this exact reason. People are real jerks about this kind of stuff. Hope your kid enjoys it!
I expect she will.

Spoiler: show
Loved it, except:

I groaned way too much at some of the dialogue. This was my only problem with TFA and mostly with Finn. I thought they had figured it out until close to the end - "Chrome Dome"

I didn't like the Rose character and pretty much hated the entire casino sequence, especially the kids and BB-8 shooting coins.

Luke was great except those flashback sequences with Kylo/Ben.

I like Benicio Del Toro, but I didn't like him in this - why give him the speech impediment? But I did like the twist with him.

Highlights:

Kylo Ren was a badass in this movie.

Luke/Rey

Kylo/Rey

The Porgs were the most pleasant surprise of the entire movie.

R2 showing Luke the old Leia footage.

I cried twice - when Luke/R2 and Luke/Leia interacted.

Not a big Yoda fan, but loved his cameo
