Spike, I don't really know you but Im somewhat surprised you really like this movie. Im in love with that too.
i wanted luke to leave the island and kick ass all movie just like everyone else, but i appreciate the risks the director took to make a funny and emotionally affecting movie, which also happened to look great throughout. we all have our perception of what we want a SW movie to be, but this is a daring movie first and foremost, which may not make it the greatest SW movie, but certainly one of the most intriguing.
Couldnt agree more and that is exactly why I left the theater with a big "Hmm" stamped on my forehead. I really had to drop my own expectations and desires of almost everything I wanted the story to be.

I'm so glad Rian Johnson provided us with this chapter of the Saga.

I was at the gym yesterday and Attack of the Clones was on TV. I just rolled my eyes and internally LOL"d watching it.

Also TFA "Who talks first, you talk first? i talk first?"

Poe is gonna be huge in Episode 9. I believe it.

That opening is the most Star Warsy Star Wars since the original Star Wars. I was big eyed and enthralled and all smiles during the crawl (maybe the best) all the way to the first cut away to Luke & Rey.

Pitch Perfect opening.

He'll have to be if JJ really elects to kill Leia in the opening crawl.

I think that's a huge mistake. I really want them to recast and proceed when Leia being the total badass they set up I this film.

But I really don't think that'll happen.

Yea, not into that. She needs to be killed off screen. Or maybe not even killed but could just be off in another part of the galaxy influencing from afar or something....

This is great and was absolutely essential in getting Luke to step back into the battle.

Also, luke projecting himself is more badass than anything i could have imagined for him.

the theater cheered for the guilty wish fulfillment moment of luke shrugging it off. And then again for the truth, which was better
