Re: Louie
While we all pretty much thought this show was done, and CK himself has said that it was probably over, FX formally canceled the series last month. They also canceled his production deal for future series and CK will not receive further compensation for existing shows.

Re: Louie
what kind of compensation should he be receiving for existing shows? I assume they pulled everything he's made from their roster. Would there have been something in his contract?McParadigm wrote:Jeez.Biff Pocoroba wrote:CK will not receive further compensation for existing shows.

From the article I read:doone wrote:what kind of compensation should he be receiving for existing shows? I assume they pulled everything he's made from their roster. Would there have been something in his contract?
In addition to canceling Louis C.K.'s overall deal with his company, Pig Newton,CK will no longer serve as executive producer for any of the four shows they produce with him, including "Better Things," "Baskets," "One Mississippi" and "The Cops." He will also receive no compensation for them.

How did he think a lot of the things he's done were good ideas, like locking the door and whipping little louie out.

Re: Louie
OK, it took me almost a week but I finally finished I Love You, Daddy. Please keep in mind that this is coming from a person who thinks Horace and Pete is maybe the best miniseries of all time, that Louie is in the top five TV shows of all time, and that Louis is easily my favorite all-time stand-up. And I tried not to read the movie in the context of #metoo, I tried to take it on its own terms. But, holy cow, is it bad. Poorly acted, poorly directed, being in black and white only emphasizes how boring it looks, and ultimately it is about the most piddly absolutely nothing shit you could imagine. It is completely unfunny, totally vapid, and always boring. I honestly don't know how Louis thought this was substantial enough to make into a movie. Absolute shite
