i bet they do have the tracks for the whole set, but leave off the covers so as to avoid some kind of royalty expense. it always seems to be the covers that are left off.Wendy Carlos's Twin wrote:I find it odd that they would have multi-tracks for the entire main set but not the encore. I feel like a majority of all the boots they have released feature all of the covers.

Re: Vault Release #7 - Soldier Field '95
perhaps these sell better than the boots and that's why. i'm not gonna try and understand the logic of the 10c. but i am suspicious of the fact that these vaults always seem to be missing the covers, because of a convenient "tape error".Strat wrote:You think so?WtOB? wrote:i bet they do have the tracks for the whole set, but leave off the covers so as to avoid some kind of royalty expense. it always seems to be the covers that are left off.Wendy Carlos's Twin wrote:I find it odd that they would have multi-tracks for the entire main set but not the encore. Re: Vault Release #7 - Soldier Field '95
Why would this show’s covers present any more expense than the hundreds on their other bootleg releases?
I think it’s more likely that they tend to play covers later in a show when they were also likely to have run out of tape. From how it seems, there’s very few complete pre-2000 show recordings as it wasn’t a priority back then.

The only covers not here are Everyday People and LMLOTD. They left off Ledbetter, Black, Betterman , RVM and a few more. I think they ran out of tape.

Re: Vault Release #7 - Soldier Field '95
I think it's more likely that including these tracks would have expanded it to a four-LP collection, and thus driven up their cost. If they were to pass that added cost along to the consumer, we'd bitch that the last one was only two LPs, and the cost didn't drop. So the they just decided fuck it - most of the people buying this will never break the shrinkwrap on it anyway.

Guys, it arrived the night before I'm gone for the holidays! Christmas miracle. Opened it up and wife asked what it was. Her response:bodysnatcher wrote:Mine has been out for delivery since yesterday

Listened to half of it. Not incredibly different from the bootleg mono SBD version so far.

Aside from the encores, the clips sound great on Nugs - a huge sonic upgrade from the mono FM source.nomorecrackpipes wrote:Listened to half of it. Not incredibly different from the bootleg mono SBD version so far.
