What an absolute wonderful addition to the Star Wars world. Man alive.

Ren, Rey, Skywalker - all top notch.

Ren is still conflicted and in love with Rey. He still may turn.

Luke will be featured next film.

I've come around more on this film the more time has passed - although the things that bugged me when I walked out of the theater still bug me, I appreciate the film for what it was

If TLJ was the first ever SW movie it would be a lot worse. It succeeds on the back of the OT.

that’s kind of a non-critique though. it is the continuation of a story. Empire cant work without A New Hope.

Not yet. I got the dodgy download, but can't bring myself to watch it. It's just been brewing in my mind.
Liked that there was a possible callback to R1 in it

Outside of the weird animal stuff that runs throughout the movie, it wasn't nearly as preachy as I expected. So that's a plus I guess.

The hyperspace tracking is mentioned in both and there might be another

Ps the download isn’t dodgy at all

I meant dodgy as in the quality of it

That’s what I meant. It’s perfectly watchable and sound is grand too

From the visual guide. So time acts differently on Ahch to as it does on dagobah. This explains a lot. Remembering Luke was on Dagobah with Yoda for months though it seems only days.

Rey arrives on Snokes ship. And kylo leaves two stormtroopers..armed with handcuffs, to take her in.

That’s kinda dumb.

its a symbolic gesture - kylo signaling where he stands.

Snoke (to Kylo Ren): Take off that ridiculous mask.

Surrounded by guards with ridiculous masks.

Yeah, I giggled. Even if the reason is obvious if you just watch the movie, it's still a good joke. I like it.
