I'm happy Spotify supports podcasts now.

The Moment with Brian Koppelman continues to scratch the right itch for me. The Jenna Fisher and Gabrielle Hamilton episodes were both really great.

chud posted a link to "The Assassination" on Twitter and I am very intrigued. It's about Benazir Bhutto and I barely know anything about her, but I'm excited to learn.

That Maron interview was fucking embarrassing. He has been horrible lately. The Argonaut wrote:I spent my whole afternoon driving from Montreal to Albany today, and I have two things to note:
1. I'm a little behind, but the "Gun Show" episode of Radiolab Presents: More Pefect is great and ought to be required listening for all Americans. Very enlightening.
2. Serious lol at Marc Maron only watching half of mother! before interviewing Darren Aronofsky.

I only listen to Maron when I already like the interviewee. He still gets good interview, but, yeah, the Aronofsky episode was pretty bad.

Re: What podcasts are you listening to?
Someone once recommended his podcast to me so I decided to dive in with his Larry King interview. Made it like 15 minutes in and turned it off and never went back.

WTF has been one of my favorite podcasts for years and mostly still is, but I think he has lost something in the wake of his Obama interview. It doesn't seem like he cares as much.
That said, the Neil Strauss episode is close to being my favorite podcast episode ever.

Re: What podcasts are you listening to?
I listened to it and it's a very, very brief introduction. Basically explains the host's relationship to the subject matter and describes Bhutto's return to Pakistan in 2007. No information on her background, the country's political climate, not much of anything. I'm tempted to read her Wiki page but I'm hoping the show gets to all of that good stuff first.cutuphalfdead wrote:I haven't started yet but episode one is only 18 minutes long.Simple Torture wrote:chud posted a link to "The Assassination" on Twitter and I am very intrigued. Its a favorite of mine too. The James Franco one was super good too. I miss Bret Easton Ellis anyway.LoathedVermin72 wrote:WTF has been one of my favorite podcasts for years and mostly still is, but I think he has lost something in the wake of his Obama interview. Jason Blum was superb again in Nerdist this time. Such a cool guy.

I can’t stand The Nerdist. Hardwick is the worst interviewer I’ve ever heard. I listened to the PTA episode and it was unbearable. They got nothing interesting out of him.

Did you listen to Bill Simmons interview PTA? That was good. He also did a reddit AMA last night: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/ ... _name=IAmALoathedVermin72 wrote:I can’t stand The Nerdist. Hardwick is the worst interviewer I’ve ever heard. I hate it too. I barely listen to them anymore but Blum is so fucking good he owns the podcast. I would say he is the most interesting producer nowadays.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I can’t stand The Nerdist. Hardwick is the worst interviewer I’ve ever heard. Re: What podcasts are you listening to?
These guys are great and I love the idea they have going here.
It's also a non-video podcast but apparently this one has a special bonus if you're watching. Well, not so much special just a reaction to news.
They have two really good episodes of The Comedy Button where they talk about losing your mother that I would recommend to anyone.

Atlanta Monster has been solid so far.
