Solo: A Star Wars Story (5/25/2018)

We already have three new movies including Rogue One. So shouldn't be a problem comparing to all of the OT. I think we've already covered all the main aliens above including Yoda, Chewie, Jabba, Greedo, the Ewoks, Ackbar, and more than anything the rich amount of minor characters in the OT. Anyway, there is no need to go around in a circle here. All I said was: "There seem to be more humans and less alien characters in these new movies. Chewbacca will be completely surrounded by humans in this." The former we have discussed, and the latter will probably be true.

Sorry, I'm a little feisty today and we obviously disagree here. I think part of the reason some of these minor characters have lived on from the original trilogy is that they've had 30+ years to be discussed and explored. When you examine their actual screen time it is pretty consistent with the new creatures/characters in the new movies so far.

BBFC are reviewing SOLO Trailer Number one later this week
This suggests it could appear in UK cinemas next Thursday (18 January), the same day the contract for The Last Jedi ends

I think it was LV that said that TLJ is so small in scope. It seldom looks up, it sort of just powers through to whatever it wants to accomplish. The alien issue might be part of that. At best they are background filler, far from the centre of the screen. Quite different from the OT, even if we in both have central human characters we follow in the main action.

Maz is about on level with Greedo or Jabba. Snoke, who knows what he is? Aliens in the background have been far less in recent movies. Very few new creations as well.

greedo has ten seconds of screen time. that fat alien at the trading post has more screentime. we are just too old to have played with his action figure
