Video editing software

Anyone know of any online/free software that allows you to do basic editing? All I really need is to combine some video files together and add music. If I can cut them up to use pieces of each video, that is a bonus but not necessary.

Depends on what you are looking for and what you are used to using.

Most video editing software is actually very similar. They use a timeline, then you drop clips, audio and transitions onto the timeline.

From my experience, the best free one is Black Magic's DaVinci Resolve. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/produc ... ciresolve/

If that's too overwhelming you can use Microsoft's old Movie Maker. I used it for years just to create family videos with music and a few titles. It's supersimple to use. https://www.windows-movie-maker.org/
