How was the show?
Local H was fantastic. I've seen them well over a dozen times. The first time ever was when they opened for Silverchair at First Ave. Sunday's show is the first time I'd seen them in that venue since. They're on top of their game.
The Toadies....they played a lot of their new album, which they should, but it's unspectacular. Nothing is bad, but none of it is memorable, so when they slide in Dollskin or I Burn or I Come From The Water, it just made me wish they were playing songs from the first two albums. They did a really nice and faithful rendition of Breakdown, though, so that was super cool.

War on Drugs tonight! Though looking at setlists form the past 3 weeks, they've only played "thinking of a place" twice

They played Thinking of a Place tonight at the Ogden... ended with Time to Move On by Tom Petty
That lead singer is the best of Neil Young and Bob Dylan combined into an amazing frontman... Great performance by probably my favorite band of the past five years.

i'm looking forward to seeing her. i take it back, upon quick research, i definitely know that "royals" song.
my nephew is a huge Lorde fan, so he's flying in and i got him an extra +1. cool uncle points, i suppose.

Dave Simonett (Trampled By Turtles/Dead Man Winter) this Friday. After that, nothing on the calendar until July. I should change that.

Awesome.
I'm surprised you'd want to see Steely Dan after Becker's passing. But I'm glad you're going.

Whoa, nice. I keep pretty close tabs on just about every concert happening here (because there aren't many) but I had no idea that was happening. The Metro is a brand new venue downtown. Used to be the Boys and Girls Club. I've heard it's nice.
