I'm a little late to the party, but...

Jaws. Worth a watch? People seem to rave about it.

Went to see I, Tonya yesterday. I love the interview approach. Really good look at a story I didn't think I had any interest in since it happened.

Wildly overrated. Villain has no backstory.

I think Jaws is a good movie. I think it's vastly overrated but it's still something you should see for yourself. A lot of people connect to it in a big way, so it has something profound going for it.

ET is my big Spielberg movie. I was kidding about Jaws being overrated but it never bit me really.

Eh?

Seriously though. That said I don’t think I’ve ever watched it as an adult. So maybe a rewatch is due.

Watched it for the first time in decades a little while ago. It still holds up and you can see how this was the movie that started it all.

Jaws is impeccably written, directed, shot, scored, and acted. It is an impossibly perfect specimen of cinema craftsmanship. It’s a marvel. It’s a miracle. It deserves every accolade it gets.

Who’s the Irish guy again. Robert Shaw?
Dreyfus was on a chat show here raving about him recently. Apparently he was the real deal but never acted before or after that? Not sure I believe it.

No role better than Jaws though I’m betting.

I must look him up. Ashamed to say I know nothing about him other than he was from Waterford and was in Jaws
