You don’t like these films LV?
I always feel like I’m missing out with the original. This is a little more accessible but it’s just
Sorta hollow still. All flash.

I think the original is an extraordinary vision visually, and has fascinating themes that don’t quite reach fruition. It’s so close to greatness, but ultimately I am left unsatisfied every time I watch it.
Now, granted, I still have like an hour left in 2049. But so far, I think it’s laughable garbage that could not possibly be any more hollow if it tried. All flash, for sure.

Yeah I’m coming to the end of it now too. It’s barely holding my attention.
Fight sequences. So weirdly out of place in a film like this.

What kind of mentally retarded statement is that?
You’re damn right it isn’t.
I do wish I liked it though.

Just finished this. What a joke. Worst movie of 2017. I can’t believe people are taking such trite, juvenile trash seriously as great art.

No way it's worse than Dunkirk

Ah yes, a shot that looks just like the original Blade Runner except colder and uglier.

I get an Akira vibe from it. Which I guess shouldn't be a surprise considering Akira is Blade Runner, but still it feels more Akira for some reason.
Slightly better still:

I'm not surprised that you didn't like film, LV. But I am surprised at the level at which you dislike the movie.

He likes TFA more than this movie. That says a lot.

I didn’t hate it. Just left me cold. It didn’t engage me at all. And the all the fight sequences seemed to be totally at odds with the whole rest of the movie.
It looked handsome but that’s about all.
