Re: Doug and Lenny's all things golf
It's looking like Zach Johnson so far.
I'm not sure this is the one for Westwood to win though he'll be up near the top. It's getting Mickelsonesque for him in majors at this point, I'm thinking the Masters might be his best shot too.
All the whining about the course is hilarious. It's a fucking major you babies, (these guys are good) yeah on soft perfect courses that are well watered, oh noes greens aren't holding, the wind is hard, it's the easiest rough out there in years, suck it up and figure it out.
Justin Rose has finally won a major, we hear a lot from Ian Poulter about course management and fashion, but nothing really in terms of good golf. Well.....we're waiting....

Actually, the wind isn't bad at all. Its sunny & warm too. I think the leaderboard will be tight all the way through. And, as usual, will just come down to some clutch putting.Electromatic wrote:

Indeed, I think the weekend will be a lot of fun.

Pretty incredible. EL Pato has to be one of the most unassuming badasses in majors of all time.
It's looking like whoever plays early is getting the better of it as well so it could get interesting.

He has to show up on the weekend. Something he hasn't done in awhile in a major.doug rr wrote:this might just fall into Tigers hands

How do you fix a wicked slice? I have a banana ball so bad it's ugly. Looking at the tee marks on my clubs, I obviously swing outside in but for the life of me, I can't fix it.

I would suggest getting some lessons. If you try a bunch of stuff on your own you're going to mess with your head.otisboy2 wrote:How do you fix a wicked slice? I have a banana ball so bad it's ugly. Shot a 46 on 9 holes tonight in my league. Not too bad considering my handicap is a 14. I'll take it.Monkey_Driven wrote:I would suggest getting some lessons. Nice. Do you slice any of your clubs besides your driver?otisboy2 wrote:Shot a 46 on 9 holes tonight in my league. Not too bad considering my handicap is a 14. Sometimes my long irons like 3 and 4 iron but mostly just the driver and woods. It's mainly off the tee box is where I have trouble. I can putt and chip really well.Monkey_Driven wrote:Nice. Have you tried the simple trick of placing your right foot (I'm assuming your right handed) about 6 inches further back from the line where your left foot is?otisboy2 wrote:Sometimes my long irons like 3 and 4 iron but mostly just the driver and woods. Hmm, I'll have to try that.Monkey_Driven wrote:Have you tried the simple trick of placing your right foot (I'm assuming your right handed) about 6 inches further back from the line where your left foot is?otisboy2 wrote:Sometimes my long irons like 3 and 4 iron but mostly just the driver and woods. Re: Doug and Lenny's all things golf
It doesn't always work, but it is a start. Just try little things like that at first instead of messing too much with your actual swing. I started messing with my swing about two years ago and it is still without an identity.otisboy2 wrote:Hmm, I'll have to try that.Monkey_Driven wrote:Have you tried the simple trick of placing your right foot (I'm assuming your right handed) about 6 inches further back from the line where your left foot is?otisboy2 wrote:Sometimes my long irons like 3 and 4 iron but mostly just the driver and woods.
