Re: Metal (\M/ METAL \M/)
Some pals of mine just released a fucking monster of a noise/grind/doom record. You guys should check it out, if you're into that kind of thing.

Re: Metal (\M/ METAL \M/)
new Converge is out today.
I have a feeling this one is going to be an AOTY contender for me.

Not a big fan of that Power Trip record but i get why people dig it. It's a love letter to all the best parts of 80's thrash with a few modern touches, and the production is spot on.

With a touch of Al Jorgenson and maybe Dead Kennedy's thrown in.mf wrote:Not a big fan of that Power Trip record but i get why people dig it. It's a love letter to all the best parts of 80's thrash with a few modern touches, and the production is spot on.

I think it means new bands that sound like 80s metal.

I was on Sirius XM Liquid Metal's trivia show yesterday. After flying through the trivia round and riff naming round, I blanked on all the lyrics and lost at the final question.
I suck at lyric memorization.

Re: Metal (\M/ METAL \M/)
that sucks. i'm terrible with lyrics too. they just don't really stick with me - or rather they are the least important thing to me in a metal song. Hell, i don't even know most of the lyrics that the singer in my band singsJammer XCI wrote:I was on Sirius XM Liquid Metal's trivia show yesterday.
