Randy should be first ballot hall of fame no question.
TO will get in this time.
I really hope Urlacher doesn't get in on first ballot.
One of the most overrated players in NFL history.
~1,300 total tackles, just 41.5 sacks and only created 34 turnovers
I'm not saying he was bad, he was pretty good. But people talk about him like he was a fucking god.

2006 really was the peak of NFC suckage in that decade. The rest of the playoff field from that side was two 10-6 teams, two 9-7 teams, and an 8-8 team.spike wrote:I think folks had to explain how the Bears made it to the Super Bowl somehow.

The other side of that is the only reason Peyton Manning won a ring at all in his prime years was because he got to play a team whose quarterback was Rex GrossmanGreen Habit wrote:2006 really was the peak of NFC suckage in that decade. Re: Will he be a Hall of Famer?
So 1 out of 2 of my childhood baseball heroes made the HOF yesterday. While it was about 10 years overdue, at least the committee got it right with Alan Trammell. I'm happy for Jack Morris, even though he's a womanizer and doesn't have quite the resume to back up his case. So 2 Tigers from the 80's making it in in the same year is pretty good.
The travesty in all of this is the fact that Lou Whittaker, who statistically had some of the best numbers of any position player on the Committee's ballot (he blows away Steve Garvey in WAR - 75 to 35), didn't make the ballot and isn't up again until 2020. Perhaps the backlash this year will cause some members to reconsider his HOF-worthy career.
I think me and my then 10-year-old little guy will make the trip to Cooperstown this summer. Until then, congrats:

That's only because he pitched to the score. He just knows how to win.cutuphalfdead wrote:Jack Morris has a career ERA+ of 105. That is not a hall of famer.

A 10 inning shutout in Game 7 of the 1991 World Series - that gets my vote.cutuphalfdead wrote:lolphilpritchard wrote:That's only because he pitched to the score. He just knows how to win.cutuphalfdead wrote:Jack Morris has a career ERA+ of 105. That is not a hall of famer.

If the playoffs carry that much weight then Josh Beckett should be in.CopperTom wrote:A 10 inning shutout in Game 7 of the 1991 World Series - that gets my vote.cutuphalfdead wrote:lolphilpritchard wrote:That's only because he pitched to the score. Best game I've ever seen by a single defensive player. Brian Urlacher against the Arizona Cardinals on October 16, 2006. He took over the game, which is nearly impossible for one player in football.
It led to this...
